Today we had our first official ride, led by Stuart himself.
12 CTC Sou’Wester riders plus Stuart’s support crew and a couple of other riders.
A lovely steady flat ride through picturesque countryside passing farms with many sheep, fragrant flora and with the sounds of the birds to accompany us. Less welcome were the inland voracious mosquitoes, persistent little fellows but we had been forewarned and had some spray with us. A couple of punctures (both Stuart’s) and other mechanical issues before lunch were swiftly dealt with and sweeper Patrick kept us all moving at the junctions.
Coffee was at a typical Mallorcan bakery in Bùger. The only problem was choosing a pastry from the many on offer - and ignoring the fact that none of us were actually hungry following our hotel buffet last night and again this morning.
