Day 3. Torridon to Gairloch. 48 miles and 2,800 feet

We listened to the rain hammering on to the roof of the hostel as we contemplated breakfast ..... but joy of joys we set off an hour later in glorious sunshine!  Sometimes the NC500 is just not enough so we started the day with a 12 mile ride along the side of Loch Torridon before returning to Torridon for tea and cake and then the tough ten mile all downhill ride to Kinlochewe for lunch.... where it decided to lash down!   ....after a long lunch we cycled alongside Loch Maree and visited the Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve  before heading into a wild, wet and windy Gairloch at 5pm. Another cracking day with fantastic scenery  .... and the Malbec was very nice as well!
Photos to follow ..... Mike
