I will follow with interest. The last & first time I stayed in Inverness YHA was in 1962. Four of us from CTC Derby DA drove from Nottingham to Loch Lomond YHA and left the care there. It was in August and never stopped raining. I remmember one memorable night in St Brivals Castle YHA, not sure if it still exists. We went onto Sky from Malaigue and it was before the bridge was built at Kyle of Lochalsh. Farthest North on West Coast was Ullapool YHA. Have a good time.
